The science of weight loss has fascinated and confused everybody. Some will say that doing these things will help you. While some will say that doing those things will make the situation worst. What to do? Here is some weight loss tips based on biochemistry that you can try:
Weight Loss Tip# 1: WATCH OUT FOR THE WHEAT
Wheat is biochemically engineered to add fat to your organs and body. Whole grain wheat, marketed as being healthier than processed grains, but they are all the same. You need to cut off that extra bread if you want to lose weight. Learn more about wheat from the book Wheat Belly.
Weight Loss Tip# 2: THE 500 CALORIES
It is true that several factors such as genes and age can affect your metabolism. Generally, it takes 3500 calories for you to gain 1 pound. This means if you consume fewer calories per day than you burn, you wouldn’t gain weight. So if you can cut 500 calories from your regular diet every day, you can shed 1 pound in a week. Losing 10 to 20 pounds may sound impossible, but losing 1 pound per week is more achievable.
Weight Loss Tip# 3: PREPARE YOUR MEAL
If you want to trim down your body weight, you need to know what goes inside your body. And the only way to do this is by preparing your own meal every day. Frequent trips to restaurants will cause you to crave for high calorie, fatty, salty, and sugary foods. When you opt to prepare your own meal, you have control on what you eat. You can choose healthy ingredients as well as spices.
Weight Loss Tip# 4: CUT OUT THE SUGAR
Another enemy that you have to face when you want to lose weight is the sugar. When taken in moderation, your liver stores some sugar in form of glycogen. This will be your source of quick energy when you need it. But when taken in large amounts, glycogen would turn into fat molecules. Also, chemically-manufactured sugars can have harmful effects on our body. It can cause cancer, insulin resistance, and diabetes.
Weight Loss Tip# 5: BURN IT DOWN
Aside from cutting your caloric intake and controlling what you eat, you can also burn that excess calorie. You have to exercise. And aside from losing weight, exercise offers many health benefits such as improving cardiovascular health, reducing stress, mental good being, and many other benefits.
It is wrong to think that you can over eat when you exercise. You still have to cut out your caloric intake if you want to lose weight.
