TAICHUNG, Nov. 27, 2024 /VB/ — China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) showcased its international presence at HIMSS24 APAC Seoul Healthcare Conference & Exhibition by achieving top scores in the 2023 HIMSS Global Digital Health Indicator (DHI) and receiving prestigious certifications. These include Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM) Stage 7, Analytics Maturity Assessment Model (AMAM) Stage 6, and Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM) Stage 6, highlighting CMUH’s excellence in smart healthcare practices and commitment to quality patient care.
Under the leadership of Superintendent Der-Yang Cho, CMUH has spearheaded healthcare digitalization, embracing “Smart Healthcare 4.0” with innovative initiatives like mRNA-based CAR-T immunotherapy and collaborations with tech giants like Microsoft and Google. These advancements, such as the “Medical Information Revise Assistant (MIRA)” and “Side-effects Organizing Platform with Healthcare Intelligent Assistance (SOPHIA),” aim to provide personalized smart healthcare, reducing healthcare professionals’ workload and ensuring optimal patient care.
CMUH’s Taiwan Smart Healthcare Pavilion showcases cutting-edge platforms like the Intelligent Anti-Microbial System (i.A.M.S.) and ARDiTeX, which have significantly improved patient monitoring and care in critical settings. Director Wen-Sheng Feng highlighted the system’s impact on reducing mortality rates and enhancing patient outcomes through AI-driven interventions.
Challenges in data integration and interoperability were discussed by Dr. Shih-Sheng Chang and Prof. Chi-Heum Cho, emphasizing the importance of individualized nursing, wearable devices, and AI-assisted surgeries in unlocking the full potential of healthcare data. They also stressed the need for cross-border collaborations to drive progress in smart healthcare.
With a focus on patient-centered care, CMUH‘s acquisition of EMRAM Stage 7 re-certification and other notable certifications positions it as a leading digital healthcare provider in Taiwan.
