Dr. Yap has been a driving force behind the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network (ASLN), which facilitates connectivity between hubs across ASEAN and China. Through YCH Group’s SuperPorts™ network, trade flows are streamlined, transit times are reduced, and regional trade efficiency is enhanced.
The SGConnect™ Initiative, led by YCH Group, supports ASLN’s goals by offering sustainable solutions to ASEAN member states to promote growth without negative impacts. Dr. Yap has been a dedicated advocate for the ASEAN Economic Community for over two decades. In 2018, the Smart Growth Connect (SGConnect™) legacy project was launched to foster a resilient and connected ASEAN.
Dr. Yap’s leadership has laid a solid foundation for an intelligent and resilient supply chain framework across ASEAN. Initiatives like the Vietnam SuperPort™ and upcoming projects like the Cambodia SuperPort™ are instrumental in realizing the vision of the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network (ASLN).
